"The X5 Litter" - Hazelnut x Grizz

Hazelnut gave birth to 5 males and 2 females on March 11, 2025.

Update- May 20, 2025

I will post new pictures every week so that you can watch them develop.

Hazelnut's kitten's are 10 weeks old. My picture taking of these little ones is now finished. It won't be long and they will be going home with their new families. They are a confident bunch and I'm sure they'll carry that forward. My time with these kittens seems to have gone by quickly. I know the kittens will be well loved in their new homes. I hope you've enjoyed watching their development.

Hazelnut's Female #2 was a very small girl. While she didn't requiring any additional care to begin with, there came a time when her littermates grew and florished while she did not. It became clear that something was wrong. With my vets encouragement, we just stayed the course, supporting her. Breeding is filled with ups and downs, joys and true heartaches. Even with Hazelnut's love and attention along with me watching over her, there were no solutions.

In all my years of raising these little ones and caring for the adults, Hazelnut taught me something special. She was kind and attentive to her little one, sometimes just placing a paw on her to bring comfort. Soon, it was time to say our goodbyes and let her go. Hazelnut fully knew what was going on and her tenderness towards her kitten was powerful and brought peace to all of us. Her kittens short life made a difference. I will miss watching over her.
